HeatShield Pro is a compliance platform for one specific, fast-approaching problem: workplace heat illness prevention. It bills itself as “the first platform purpose-built for heat illness prevention compliance,” squarely aimed at OSHA’s expected Heat Injury and Illness Prevention Standard — and the homepage leads with the outcome employers actually want: “Protect your workers. Stay compliant. Avoid penalties.”

The challenge

Compliance software is a tough sell because the value is avoidance — penalties not paid, inspections passed. The stakes are real: serious violations run to $15,625 each and willful violations far higher, across hundreds of thousands of affected employers. The site had to make that concrete for employers in construction, agriculture, landscaping, manufacturing, and logistics who don’t have time to parse a regulation. It needed to explain a real feature set without turning into a manual, then convert with three pricing tiers and a free trial — all while sounding trustworthy on a serious safety topic.

The approach

We built the platform on Next.js and React with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, on a real product stack: Prisma + Supabase for data, NextAuth for auth, Stripe for the tiered subscriptions, Sanity for the marketing/blog content, Recharts for dashboards, and react-pdf/jsPDF for inspection-ready reports. We led with the regulatory stakes, then mapped each feature to the compliance task it removes — a plan in minutes, logging in under two, an inspection-ready PDF on demand. Pricing is presented plainly: flat rate, no per-user fees, “fully operational within 10 minutes.”

What we built

  • The six core product modules: Prevention Plan Generator, Real-Time Heat Monitoring, Daily Compliance Logging, Acclimatization Tracking, Training Management, and an Audit Report Generator
  • A three-tier pricing page wired to Stripe — Starter ($49/mo, up to 10 workers), Professional ($99/mo, “Most Popular,” up to 50 workers and multi-site), and Enterprise ($199/mo, unlimited with SSO/SAML and API access) — with a 14-day free trial and annual-billing discount
  • GPS-tagged daily check-ins using Google Places autocomplete for accurate worksite logging
  • A multi-site dashboard with charts (Recharts) so admins can see compliance across worksites at a glance
  • PDF audit-report generation (react-pdf / jsPDF) that produces inspection-ready documents on demand
  • An industry-targeted marketing layer (Sanity-backed blog) calling out construction, agriculture, landscaping, manufacturing, and logistics by name, with transactional email via Resend

The outcome

HeatShield Pro has a SaaS site that turns a dense regulatory burden into something an employer can act on. Clear stakes, clear features, clear pricing — which is what compliance software has to do to earn a signup.
